Well it may be a bit far to go, but maybe?

Just to be clear it’s in Bohars not Tarporley!

Back in May a group from Tarporley travelled to Bohars.  Here are some photos from the trip.

Amongst other places, we visited the Mediaeval fête at the Château de Kerveatoux near Saint-Renan.  That’s the first 3 pictures. Then we saw the biggest standing stone in Europe “Le menhir de Kerloas “. The next picture shows us at the Capucins in Brest, followed by dinner at the restaurant “La Forge” in the former Capuchin Workshops, and a night-time ride back in the cable car gondola.

The following day we visited the “Musée-mémoires 39/45”, near the Pointe Saint Mathieu. A History of the war in Brittany set in a massive German bunker, with panoramic views over the Bay of Brest, the Crozon peninsula and Ushant. Followed by a visit to the Vaéré garden. This botanic garden was created by one man, and includes miniature buildings and fascinating plant collections.

Quite a variery!
